Quality Assurance

The inception of the department was in the year 2009.The department has produced 14 ranks in Mahatma Gandhi University so far.

Food Science is a systematic study of the nature of food materials and the scientific principles underlying their modification,preservation and spoilage.To understand food science,the basic concepts of physics,chemistry,mathematics and biology and their applications.Biochemistry,microbiology and food technology are necessary to prepare,package and service wholesome high quality products. St.Mary’s College for Women is one of the few College in Kerala offering this specialised course.
